SUSYN BLAIR HUNT PSYCHIC ASTROLOGER CHANNELER

I am very much affected by the full moon. I become lethargic for a couple of days before the full moon and am completely out of sorts. I can’t perform my responsibilities at work, I can’t concentrate, and I’m just exhausted. Others have noticed that I really struggle with this as well. Even the smallest tasks overwhelm me at these times. I am going through menopause; could that make it worse? Is there a gemstone I could wear or anything I could do that would help me to focus and function during these phases? Thank you for your answer.

My policeman friend always called the Full Moon the Fool Moon because he said people act like total fools when the Moon is full. Many people are affected by every phase of the Moon, so being negatively affected by the Full Moon is not unusual. In fact, more arguments occur and more crimes are committed during Full Moons than at any other time.

Even people who are totally oblivious to the Moon’s phases have problems. Most people don’t know what’s happening to them because they aren’t aware of what’s happening with the Moon at the time of their unease. Your awareness of all of this is the first step toward feeling the way you want to feel.

If you’re a Cancer Sun, Cancer Moon or Ascendant, your mind and body will be more affected by the Moon’s phases because the Moon rules Cancer to a certain extent.

Much depends on where the Moon was at the time of your birth, so you may find it very enlightening to delve into your personal astrology. A good astrologer will be able to tell you why you have these experiences and when you need to prepare yourself for particularly challenging phases.

Wearing a Moonstone necklace at all times will help you deflect any negativity arising from either within or without. Aventurine and Rose Quartz can also help with this, while Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli and Carnelian can help you with concentration.

You don’t have to wear the whole rock shop around your wrist or neck, either. You can keep some of these stones handy in a desk drawer, and then hold them during the Full Moon or whenever you feel particularly stressed out. Garnet is one of the most powerful amulets against negative vibrations, but it needs to be worn on the body to work for you.

While the Full Moon tends to bring out the worst in many of us, menopause tends to bring out the worst in MOST of us! Personally, I feel that hormonal changes affect everything, including our work performance and our emotional well-being.

Since you feel such a strong pull from the Moon to begin with, the Full Moon is going to augment and alter whatever you’re dealing with at the time. If you’re having so much trouble with this that you can’t function properly, consult your medical provider and get some help.

There are lots of things available to women now that weren’t around even five years ago, so we don’t have to suffer from all the symptoms our mothers and grandmothers dealt with during their times of change.

We are all affected by the full Moon, some more than others. Even non-believers will admit that they tend to have unusual experiences and reactions during the week preceding a full Moon.

Doctors, nurses, paramedics and police officers have noted that activity peaks during these times: More emergencies and accidents occur, more babies are born, and more crimes are committed. Scientifically, the full Moon affects our planet’s tides, and since our bodies are over 90% water, it affects us as well.

Some people may be more sensitive to this monthly occurrence for a number of reasons. Those of us who are more spiritually awake will feel the influence of a full Moon more readily because our senses are more in-tune with the unseen forces that guide our lives, so we tend to feel these astrological events more strongly.

Astrologically, the Moon is known to most strongly influence our emotions.
You don’t mention your birth date, which could also contribute to the strong reactions you experience during the full Moon. Water signs (Pisces, Scorpio and in particular Cancer) are emotionally based and more sensitive to the Moon in general. Also, if you were born during a full or new Moon, you will naturally be more affected by it.

I recommend you have your astrological chart done, as a chart will allow you to identify the specific reasons you are noticing these struggles. Awareness is the key to overcoming the difficulties you are experiencing, so gathering more information should help you plan ahead for these times so that you can counteract them.

It is interesting to note that the full Moon occurs in a different sign each month, and opposes the Sun during that time. Because of this, there are two full Moons each year that could prove to be either more difficult or easier than the rest depending on one’s astrological sign.

For example, if you are a Cancer, you would notice that the full Moons in July and January will be the most notable. In January, the full Moon occurs in the sign of Cancer, and in July, the full Moon opposes the Sun in Cancer.

You mention that you are going through menopause. This is a phenomenon also ruled by the Moon, which could be adding to your sensitivity. Regardless, gathering more information and having your astrological natal chart done will allow you to plan ahead for these times and provide you with the ability to understand, allow, and embrace the influence the full Moon has over you.

Many times in life we hear, “You will always have what you NEED, but not necessarily what you WANT.” Your spirit must have needed to experience the feeling of leaving your human body, and the suggestion in the next chapter of Sylvia Brown’s book was all it took to get you there.

Even though you hadn’t read it yet, your SOUL recognized the title of that chapter as something it had been seeking, and your soul, knowing that you had that reference to read after your experience, got with it and out you went!

While I don’t usually recommend her books, Sylvia Brown has a wide reaching and powerful effect on lots of people. A Gemini like you would be able to relate easily to her writing and put it to good use. Synchronicity – you gotta love it!

I like your description of “getting caught.” That’s exactly what it feels like, isn’t it? One minute you’re free and hovering above the room, and the next minute, ZAP! back down into your corporeal form you go!

As a little kid, I loved that “feeling of return.” With practice, most of the time we can control that event, but sometimes, when our physical ears hear a distracting noise or something else occurs to knock us back into reality, back we go. With practice you will be able to control your return better.

I find it interesting that you were visiting your mother-in-law and not someone in your own genetic family. Evidently, you and your husband got married for reasons that are even deeper than love. His family’s interest in “psychic stuff” will nurture your children in such matters and help them to grow into their own abilities.

You’ll never have to be concerned that when your daughter visits them, she’ll be discouraged from exploring her own psychic life and power. My parents encouraged me to develop my psychic senses in a time when it wasn’t nice to even discuss such things in public. Heck, it’s STILL not considered a great topic at the dinner table in some families!

Your kids will get to talk about it ALL and ask questions and read and study. This is going to give them such an edge in life! Talk with your husband about how you want to present this to your kiddos, so that you are united in your approach and ready to tell them their experiences are all natural and okay.

A word or two of warning: Geminis often have difficulty staying grounded in REAL LIFE. Don’t get so strung out on your ASTRAL life that you neglect what you’re doing here on Earth.

You are at the beginning of a long journey to learn where your power really lies. Try to be patient with this process and take your time.
