I know this sounds a bit strange but, if you think about it, it does make sense. How many times have you said something to someone because it is what you know they want to hear but not really what you actually wanted to say? The same could also apply to comments or remarks to you from someone else. However, I believe we are also astute when it comes to knowing when something isn’t being said, either due to consideration of our feelings or because they don’t feel they have the right words to convey what they mean or feel. Sometimes, it’s better to say nothing at all rather than say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
