“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
Says it all doesn’t it? Nobody can hurt you without your permission. This doesn’t mean telling someone who wants to hurt you, “Yes, you have my permission to hurt me.” “Go right ahead.” “Do your worst.” What it does mean is that nobody can hurt you, either mentally or physically, if you refuse to give them that power over you, i.e. allowing yourself to feel “hurt.” Of course, they can cause you pain physically, but only you can choose to feel “hurt.” The power is yours and yours alone so use it wisely.
